Sloppy Jakes, Sloppy Joes…Whatever you name them, they all taste the same- Delicious! This is a great dinner for a grab and go kind of night!
Sloppy Jake’s
Easiest weeknight dinner ever!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb ground beef or turkey
- 3 stalks celery finely diced
- 1/2 medium onion finely diced
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce whatever you have on hand
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp cider vinegar
- Burger Rolls
- Butter
- Garlic powder
Instructions

In a large skillet saute the onions and celery until starting to soften. Add the ground been and cook until fully cooked through. Drain off the fat.

Stir in the next 7 ingredients and stir to combine. Cover and let simmer for ten minutes, stirring occasionally.

Spread the butter on the burger rolls and sprinkle with garlic powder. Toast under the broiler until golden brown.

Top the burger buns with the sloppy Jake mixture and enjoy!
