Bowtie Pasta with Bacon and Tomato
- 6 slices bacon diced
- 1 onion chopped
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp oregano dried
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 16 oz bowtie pasta cooked
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 Tbsp parsley chopped
In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain and set aside, leaving some of the grease in the pan.
In the bacon grease, cook the onion until tender.
Add the tomatoes, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper.
Let simmer for 15 minutes.
Turn the heat off and add the heavy cream and the cooked bacon. Stir to combine. Add the pasta and combine.
Top with fresh parsely and serve.
